Air Freight White Glove Service
To deliver from UAE to UK and install a 500kg architectural model on the second floor of the Etihad stadium in Manchester.
The Challenge
The service lift was 150 x 120 cms, and the model in its flight case was 205 x 205 x 155 cms. After several conversation with the Manchester City F.C. projects department it was clear they couldn’t receive this model as a full structure. It was decided that Orbis International would outsource to our local partner in Manchester to dismantle this model, provide a site survey for fire protection and protected floor coverings and have 4 x men to physically lift the model in manually and rebuild onsite. This project required hours of preplanning before executing a white glove delivery service.
The Result
Delivered safely to the legends lounge on the second floor of the Etihad stadium by our team. The model was carefully craned to the second floor, placed into the lounge, and carefully reassembled and positioned as per instructions of Man City F.C. Both our agent in Abu Dhabi and UK client Man City F.C. were delighted with our tireless efforts to make this project happen.
