To deliver Door to Door in 92 hours 15 tonnes of Radar & Lifting equipment from UK to USA.
The Challenge
Our remit was to deliver Door to Door in 92 hours including the date of collection. This extremely tight deadline was made even more challenging due to no Main Deck Freighters currently departing the UK to LAX International Airport. This cargo required our Airline Partners in Luxemburg Cargo Lux. The cargo was secondary screened, tagged from our London Heathrow CAA screening facilities, and presented as KNOWN cargo in Luxemburg 24 hrs later. The cargo departed LUX on time and arrived in LAX Airport, customs cleared on priority overnight and delivered to the end use client in Tucson Arizona on a 15.6m flatbed air ride trailer. Due to the sensitive nature of the cargo and value there were additional checks required by the USA homeland department of border and security.
The Result
This project was completed 11% under budget, customs cleared and delivered door to door. The client was delighted with our attention to details, constant communication with both the airline, USA broker and end user (consignee).
