Seamless Delivery of a Bespoke Sculpture: From Dallas to Regent's Park
The Challenge
An extremely tight deadline from arrival at London Heathrow to final delivery at Regent's Park. This bespoke statue, shipped from Dallas, measured 756 x 212 x 212 cm with a gross weight of 2000 kg. The cargo arrived under ATA carnet status and required a manual customs inspection, clearance, and secure warehousing in London for visual inspection before dispatch to Regent's Park.
Regent's Park presented several logistical challenges: restricted delivery hours, necessary road permits, specialist crane hire, scissor lift equipment, and on-ground project management to oversee installation at 2:00 a.m.
The Result
As shown in the photos, the statue for Frieze Sculptures was delivered on time, in pristine condition, and was sold at the show—much to the delight of the American exhibitor.
